With many companies making the move to Henderson, Nev., the city offers a rich environment for residential living as well.

A Sept. 2021 report by the SE Vegas News states Henderson leads the state in cities with a high level of education among its residents. Mayor Debra March told the news organization at the time that half of the city’s residents held an associate's degree or higher.

“As part of the city of Henderson’s strategic plan, we target an array of industries to attract more and better-paying jobs to the area, including advanced manufacturing and logistics, health care and life sciences, corporate headquarters and global finance, and technology,” March told the SE Vegas News

Henderson is also on good economic footing, as Standard & Poor's has awarded it an AA+ bond rating, according to the city’s website.

“While lower costs yield greater profitability, Henderson’s impressive quality of life is attractive to businesses and residents alike,” March added.

The Employ NV Business Hub opened in October in Henderson City Hall. The hub offers talent recruitment, hiring assistance, financial incentives, employee training and information about access to capital at no cost to employers, SE Vegas News reports.

“Small businesses are the backbone of our economy,” Jaime Cruz, executive director of Workforce Connections, Southern Nevada’s workforce development board, told SE Vegas News. “Through financial incentives and other resources, the hub will help small businesses recover and grow again.”

This opening comes alongside a slew of companies moving into the city. Among others, Google, Amazon, VadaTech, Barclays, Black Knights, Haas Automation, X-treme Container Homes, K2 Energy, Valley Health, R.S. Automation, Wells Enterprises, Martin Harris, Kroger Distribution and the Las Vegas Raiders have joined the Henderson community.

Businesses aren’t all the city has to offer. In the Forbes 100 Best Cities for Renters 2021 list, Henderson ranked eighth for its average rent per month, pet-friendly environment, extensive trail system for walking and biking and being surrounded by luxury hotels. A report by KTNV states Henderson was also ranked the second-safest large city in America in 2020 by AdvisorSmith.

According to the city's website, the city also offers residents six public golf courses, three private golf courses and one municipal golf course. City of Henderson parks were ranked in the top 22% of the 100 most populated U.S. cities according to the ParkScore index released by the Trust for Public Land.
