2.8 percent of the University of New Orleans students played sports on university teams in 2017-2018


In 2017-2018, 2.8 percent of the University of New Orleans students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

The University of New Orleans has 6,588 undergraduate students, of which 50 percent are men and 50 percent are women, and a total student body of 8,151 students. Of these students, 112 men and 113 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 8.7 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at the University of New Orleans with the most participants are track and field, indoor (42), track and field, outdoor (42) and baseball (33).
