Graduates earn 1,597 degrees, certificates from the University of New Orleans


About 28.6 percent of the 1,597 degrees and certificates handed out by the University of New Orleans in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Orleans conferred 325 bachelor's degrees and 122 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general business administration and management. Data shows the school gave out 125 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management, followed by 120 bachelor's degrees in "other" multi-/interdisciplinary studies and 115 bachelor's degrees in general biology/biological sciences.

The university enrolled 7,964 students for 2017-18, including 6,472 in undergraduate programs and 1,492 in graduate programs.
