Graduates earn 1,365 degrees, certificates from McNeese State University


About 15.9 percent of the 1,365 degrees and certificates handed out by McNeese State University in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Charles conferred 185 bachelor's degrees and 26 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general studies. Data shows the school gave out 135 bachelor's degrees in general studies, followed by 103 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse and 99 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management.

The university enrolled 7,629 students for 2017-18, including 6,926 in undergraduate programs and 703 in graduate programs.
