2.8 percent of University of New Orleans students played sports on university teams in 2016-2017


In 2016-2017, 2.8 percentage of University of New Orleans students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

University of New Orleans has 6,472 undergraduate students, of which 50 percent are men and 50 percent are women, and a total student body of 7,964 students. Of these students, 112 men and 113 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 4.3 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at University of New Orleans with the most participants are track and field, outdoor (43), track and field, indoor (43) and basketball (33).
