LOUISIANA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND DEVELOPMENT: Rest Area Closure: Greenwood Rest Area on I-20 eastbound in Caddo Parish


Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development issued the following announcement on Jan. 31.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that the Greenwood Rest Area and Welcome Center along I-20 eastbound (near mile marker 3) in Caddo Parish is temporarily closed for construction activities.

The parking lot is being reconstructed as part of the ongoing renovation project at the rest area. The work is anticipated to last approximatley two (2) weeks, weather permitting.

DOTD will issue a notification when this work is complete and the rest area has been reopened.

Alternate route: N/A

Restrictions/Permits: N/A

This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking or biking near an active work zone.
