Cost of college went up for all students at Delta College Inc


Tuition and fees rose 1.5 percent for 2017-18 at Delta College Inc, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Louisiana students paid $27,900 to attend the private for-profit school this year $400 more than the $27,500 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 94 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 68 students received grants or scholarships totaling $451,505 and 62 students took out student loans totaling more than $262,308.

Including all undergraduates, 279 students used grants or scholarships totaling $1.74 million. Another 288 took out $1.72 million in federal student loans.
