Graduates earn 1,588 degrees, certificates from University of Louisiana at Monroe

About 32 percent of the 1,588 degrees and certificates handed out by the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Monroe conferred 308 bachelor's degrees and 113 doctor's degrees in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Psychology, General. Data shows the school gave out 96 bachelor's degrees in Psychology, General, followed by 95 doctor's degrees in Pharmacy and 93 bachelor's degrees in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Administration, Other.

The university enrolled 9,038 students for 2016-17, including 7,778 in undergraduate programs and 1,260 in graduate programs.
