This question is so Republican in it's reasoning, which would explain how 8 years of Republicans almost destroyed our economy, and in less than a year, our GDP has grown at least 3% under Democrats. I guess Republicans only believe the government should line Republicans' pockets, nevermind the citizens they are supposed to represent for the better.

The purpose of our government (instilled by the constitution) is to run our army. Yet they have expanded over the years into a business, you could say that they are the largest monopoly in the U.S.A.
Government is not the solution to the problem, government IS the problem. Who said that? The only way government can create wealth is for the Federal Reserve to print money out of nothing to finance massive legislation-which is what they've been doing. The private sector creates wealth and only stimulating the private sector can create wealth.
many people make a living or even get rich from the govt. and govt is too much combined with big business that failed us and when big business fails it trickles down. much of our tax dollars get back to the people but much gets lost along the way. obama is no more big govt. then bush and remember bush tried to do bailouts and gave up now what can we do.
If Government wants to create jobs it should empower the job creators, the small business owners. They are the backbone of our economy and the only true job creators. In order to accomplish that, government should simplify the bureaucracy and lower taxes. The current government is doing just the opposite. Big government is evil and wasteful and will destroy the economy. The American people hate big government, which only serves politicians and bureaucrats. Socialism has been tested everywhere is is a disaster
