how do I find my adjusted gross income back?
I filed and mailed in my 2008 tax return by mail, so I don't have a copy of it. I need my adjusted gross income for 2008. What is an IRS # that I can call to find it? thanks!

- 1-800-TAX-1040. Just ignore the prompts. You'll be routed to a human in 30 to 60 minutes. For future reference, ALWAYS make a copy of your return for your records.
- Always make and keep a copy of your return. Mailing it in doesn't stop you from doing that! Call 800–829–1040 but figure on spending a long time on hold. Depending on when you mailed it, the info might or might not be in the system and available yet.
